Back From Vacation

We are finally home from our long vacation! We were on the road for days and I have become quite the road warrior but it is good to be home and have my own bed and the joyous clinking sound from the treat jar and my furiends to play with and my toys and my own yard to pee in. :) These are a few pictures from our trip...can you guess where we have been?

Backtracking

I am going to go back a couple of weeks because I want to introduce you to my newest furiend! Meet Bailey....she's a Labradoodle! Isn't she super cute?! She is even cuter when her hair is all wet from running through the sprinkler. Me, I would look the same after running through the sprinkler but I ASSURE you that I will NEVER run through any sprinklers! Nope, not me....I prefer to sit back and watch other dogs like Bailey enjoy the scary, wet stuff that comes from above. Bailey belongs to the family of my Mom's teaching partner and boy do her humans adore her....especially Miss L. They are so sweet together. Side note: Hey Mom, when do I get a little human to play with?? ;)

Here are those sweet little humans I mentioned earlier! They were fun to play with too!

I love the one of Bailey and Miss L. face to face as the water sprays down on them....the expression on Miss L's face is great! Hopefully, we can play again soon!

While I am going back, I also want to thank the gang over at Life with Dogs for this great award! What an honor! I think I got a couple more but this is the only one I reminded Mom to right click and save so now we forget but thanks to anyone who thought of us on their blogs. :) We blame it on the wedding hoopla! ;)

Also, a few people have asked questions about the wedding so we thought we would explain here. :)

First, I want to make sure that everyone knows the "gross" comments about me licking Mom were all said in a joking manner. We thought it was funny!

Now to the wedding details:

The wedding took place on a mountaintop fairly close to where we live. There is a one lane curvy road all the way to the top so we drove there. First, my Uncle Joel who got ordained online and married my pawrents, drove up with Aunt Etsuko and they made sure the location was good. No people, no wind! Otherwise, we had a couple of backups at various spots on the mountain. They set up the flowers and stuff and waited. Dad and I led the rest of the guests up and my Nanny drove my Mom up because Mom took up the whole backseat with her dress. :) It was very low key....just the way my pawrents wanted it but perfect nonetheless. The skies were gorgeous, the lupine and desert parsley were in bloom, and love was in the air. BOL! Ok, I had to get a bit cheesy there...excuse me. After the brief ceremony and pictures we headed down the mountain and had dinner at a local Italian restaurant...well, when I say we that technically doesn't include me. I had dinner at home. :( BOOHOO! Oh well, I guess I had to take one for the team. :) There were a few mosquitoes but nothing we couldn't handle. Overall, it was a magical day and I for one am glad my pawrents decided to do it the way they did so I could be part of it! WOOF!!

Wedding Slideshow

Practicing the night before the wedding with my cousin!

Ok, here is the link to the wedding slideshow Mom put together. All of these pictures were taken by various people throughout the night on our little point and shoot cameras and Mom edited some of them. :) We will get more pictures from my Grampi...he was the wedding photographer. :)

And Mom wanted to share the story behind the picture of me giving her kisses below so I have shared with you what she wrote about it. :)

"My sweet girl had to come give me kisses! It was so hard for her to watch us and not be right in between and as soon as we started walking away she made a beeline straight for us. :) There were a few "gross" comments from the crowd as she slimed me but I LOVED every minute of it! :) Ya know, I think people typically don't expect the bride to be ok with a dog walking all over their dress and licking their face but that's just my life!" :)

Almost Wedding Time

That's right, my pawrents wedding is fast approaching and things have been BUSY around here! My Uncle Joel & Aunt Etsuko came over this weekend to help. Did I tell you that my Uncle Joel is marrying my pawrents?? That's right, he got ordained online and he has been working tirelessly on the vows!

We all decided to go up to the area where the wedding is happening to scout for a good location and then we went for a hike while we were up there. It was a gorgeous day...hopefully the nice weather returns for this Saturday and the wind goes AWAY!!!

Next family picture will be of us as a true family....as my friends Connie, Nerea, & Toledo said, I will soon be a "legitimate" dog! BOL!

Mom adores me...can you tell? :)

And finally, here's a sneak peek of my beautiful collar and tag that I will wear on the special day! On the back of the tag is the wedding date. Aunt Etsuko made the ring pillow and it will hang around my neck like a necklace. We practiced and I did pretty good. Hopefully, my practice will pay off! Wish me luck...I am nervous. :)
