The Horrible, Terrible, No Good Moon Boots!

"Dad, what in the world are you doing to me? The jacket is bad enough!"

"Phooey on you...this is horrible, terrible, and no good. I am totally taking all of your blankets tonight so when you wake up cold don't be surprised!"

"You've got to be kidding me Mom...this better not go on my blog! How humiliating!"

As you can see, the pawrents made me wear those yucky moon boots today. Dare I say, they actually did keep my paws warm and protected from the ice and snow. Here I am being the only smart one in the family...going around the ice. :)

And with the camera in tow and everything....what was she thinking. Oh wait, clearly she wasn't! Silly Mom!

I hate to admit it but eventually I got used to the moon boots and even began to run around and have some fun.

I can still frolick like a deer so I guess they aren't too bad.

I was a little worried about my traction in the snow with these ridiculous things on but they weren't so bad.

I was able to jump logs and sticks and...

cut corners without a problem. So, all in all they were ok, I guess, but I still like no shoes better.

After getting used to the moon boots, I began to explore. "What's that up there in the tree?"

"ATTACK....the birds are bombing me with snow!"

"Run for your lives Mom and Dad...these birds are vicious!"

Just a few more pictures from our hike...click to enlarge. :)

BOL Nala! How humiliating, we hope you steal ALL the blankets tonight!
Just kidding, we think you'll start a new craze in doggy-chic...and if they help your tootsies stay warm then it's all good! Those are really fun photos, love your deer impression (and we are experts, you know!)

My parents tried boots on me once, but I refused to walk in them. That's the last time I had to wear them!

Hi Nala!
OMD - my parents made me wear boots like that today, on all my feet! It was too cold to stay outside though, so I didn't even get to go on a fun hike!!

I'm so surprised you didn't rip those boots off with your teeth! I think I would have! Mom was thinking about buying some for me, since I begin limping when the snow and ice become too much for me. But mom doesn't think I'd keep them on.

Hi Nala
I'm sorry you had to wear those boots and I'm also sorry I laughed at your video.
If they keep you outside longer, they are a good thing.
Loved the pictures.

Mom bought some boots like that for our great-brother Booter, a Lab/Aussie mix. He used to get ice balls in his feety-feet. He HATED them and eventually kicked them off in a deep snow bank and Mom couldn't find them. Keep that in mind. You know. Just in case you happen by some deep snow. :)
I'm a Siberian ... and I'm here to help.

Looks like the boots wasn't that bad after all. ;) Alih & James can relate... hihi... I love all the pics, it looks so funny when dogs run around in "clothes"... I will never get used to that sight. :)

the video is FANTASTIC! I did boots on Lakota at one time because on our walks she got an inordinate amount of stickers in her feet. It's amazing how putting them on her just turned her into the most depressed little dog. In the video Nala just looks so sad! Dogs are silly!

Reminds me of the pictures of cats when you put them in a harness...
