Slow week

Not too much has been goin' on this week. It has been one lazy week. All of our snow has melted, which has caused flooding but our house was not in a flooded area so we are safe. I DO NOT like to swim so I am counting my lucky stars. ;) Since the snow is gone Mom has tried to take me on some neighborhood walks but it has been windy and cold (although warmer than before) and every time we go outside I sit down, shiver, and then take off running while on the leash. I just don't enjoy cold wind, what can I say. So, our walks were ended quickly as Mom decided it would be better to get me together with some friends this weekend for some running around.

So, here are a few pictures of the things I did do this week. Above is from last weekend at my Mom's classroom. I went to help her do some work and one of her little students was there so we got to play. She chased me round and round the tables and I went over to the classroom of my new little friend's Mom. They gave me some yummy snacks....the likes of which I don't get at home. :) So, I stayed over there for awhile. ;)

This is not dog related but last weekend Mom and Dad left me at home to go to my friend Gracie's house. Gracie is my little Boxer friend but I haven't seen her in awhile. Well, you see....her family got a new game for Christmas. Remember that game, Rock Band, I told you about before?? Same game, so I was more than happy to stay on the warm couch at home rather than subject myself to the screeching voices and banging drums again. Poor Gracie! ;) Now she knows how I feel. BOL! Apparently, the kids and the adults had fun...as you can see. I thought video games were for kids but Mom explains that you have to be over 30 to truly appreciate a good game. BOL! Crazy adults!

Here I am at home resting snuggly on the warm couch with my floppy ear. :)

I also got a frozen peanut butter Kong this week....YUM!

Also, my friend Madison had a birthday on January 6th. She is 9 years old now so Mom and I made her this birthday card and sent her. She moved to Georgia in October and Mom cried for days...me too but I howled! :( Mom has known her since she was two and was very close with her family. Madison used to come over for sleepovers all the time. I miss those days because I LOVED sleeping right beside of her. Anyway, I hope she had a wonderful birthday. Click on her name above and you can see some of the times she was featured on my blog....she's such a cutie so you don't want to miss this. :)

Another thing...check out this link.
It tells you all about us Ridgebacks plus you can find out about other breeds too. :)
Lastly, I haven't wanted to write about this because it makes me terribly sad. :( One of my dog blog friends and a fellow RR has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. :( O'Reilly was such a beautiful Ridgeback boy and Mom and I are going to miss him. Mom could not keep her eyes dry after reading about what happened but even though it may make you cry we both think it would be nice to go visit O'Reilly's human Mom's blog and send her some good thoughts. We are thinking about them and imagining O'Reilly running free and happy.

Hey Amber & Nala, we went over to visit O'Reilly's mum, what a sad story :o(
About the posts, I don't know about others but it's pretty easy on Blogger, you can have as many lists as you want and have the option to sort by recent posts and also choose whether to show the whole list or just a few, sorry can't be more help, don't know how your publisher would work!
Slobbers xx

Hi Nala,
So sorry to hear about your friend O'Reilly. I am sending some extra puggy kisses to you and your mom.
Even though it was a slow week, sounds like you had fun in your mom's classroom!
Love Clover xo

Going to your mom's classroom looks like fun. I wonder if Aunt Kari would let me go to her classroom? It's far away in Missouri though, so probably not.

Rockband? Oh that is just awful. Our parents have that game and I have to bury my head in the couch pillows when Mom starts singing. She is horrible.
