Indoor Camping and an Award!

Mom and Dad started this new thing where every other week they take turns planning a fun night for each other. Tuesday was the first one and Mom planned a little indoor camping! I like this new thing because I get to be involved too. Mom and I set up the tent downstairs, put lots of blankets and the sleeping bags in to make it cozy, and we put in a few games to play. (cards, yahtzee, checkers, etc...) Mom put together some "camping food"...hot dogs with the works, BBQ chips (because Dad loves them but rarely gets them), cokes, of course, and s'mores for dessert. So healthy, I know. ;) I even got a hot dog with cheese....YUM! After we ate, we relaxed and played games in the tent. It was great to be snuggled in between Mom and Dad! We didn't sleep in there all night like I wanted to but maybe we can do that another time. I wonder what Dad is planning for the next time...I can't wait. It BETTER include me. :)

The camping thing reminds me of my very first REAL camping trip.

I was just a few months old and at this point Mom and Dad hadn't given into me sleeping in the bed with them. So, they thought it would be a good idea to bring the crate along for me to sleep in and they even put the crate inside of the tent. (it was a big tent) Well, I must have been spooked by my unfamiliar surroundings because I whined relentlessly and Mom finally succumbed to my crying and let me curl up with her. (inside the sleeping bag and everything)After that, she realized how nice it was to snuggle up and sleep beside of me and my days of sleeping in the bed soon followed. :) Camping trips are great for many reasons!

In other news, I got an award from my pal Clover!! She is the cutest Pug you will ever see! Thanks Clover!

So here are the rules: List 6 things that make you happy. Pass the award on to 6 bloggers for being Kreativ. Link to the blogger who gave you the award. Link to the blogs receiving the award. Notify the recipients.

Mom says I can't list six different foods so here are six non-food related things that make me happy:

1.Warm blankets

2. Seeing Mom and Dad come through the door after work

3. Playing with my furiends

4. The crackle of the cheese package....that's technically not food Mom. :)

5. Eating snow

6. Visiting my Nanny....I miss you Nanny and LOVE you!! Happy Birthday!

I would pass this on as I have lots of Kreativ blog furiends but I am not sure who has received the award. :) If you want to tell six things that make you happy though and you are on my furiend list then I would love to hear what makes you happy. :) Hope everyone has a grrreat weekend!

Indoor camping sounds great fun! Much warmer and a lot less damp! And what a lovely idea to plan a fun night, looking forward to seeing what's ahead.

And Yahtzee....we haven't played in years....must get it out. How was your score Nala?

You seem to have Jana's ears on in that last puppy photo Nala!

(Jana does appear to be flying in my photo, Amber, but then she does seem to spend quite a lot of time in the air! Maybe those ears come into play?)

Hi Nala!
I really think we are like twins - the cheese package crinkling sound is one that I bet I could hear for miles. It always makes me come running. AND when I was 3 months old, my parents took me on a trip to Nova Scotia, and brought my crate to sleep in (like usual). But I whined and whined and got to sleep with my parents instead. From then on I got to stay in the big bed!
See? Twins!!
I just love your puppy pictures.
And what a pawesome idea your parents have about fun nights - they sound like SO much fun!! The camping looks like it was a blast.
Love Clover xo

Wow, your indoor camping sounds really fun. I've been camping once and it was great. Mom and Dad each have a cot to sleep on. Mom put an extra sleeping bag down on the ground for Kat and me to sleep on, but I said, "no way" and slept on the cot with Mom. We both had to curl into little balls to fit.

Steve

PS. You look so CUTE in your first camping pictures.

First, I have to address how gosh darn CUTE you were!!! Oh you're Mom and Dad must have been sooo smitten with you!! (not that you still aren't cute... but those ears!!)

Now, as for camping... What a great idea!! Your Mom and Dad are so adventurous and creative! Maybe I can get my Mom to do a indoor camping! Maybe even OUTDOOR camping once it gets warm!

Oooo Cheese wrappers are the BESTEST!!!
