Mother's Day Hike (I know it's late) & Fun With the Girls

On Mother's Day, my furiend Sierra and I along with our Moms went for a hike through this meadow that was just bursting with wildflowers! It was grrrreat! Ok, who am I kidding....the best part was that it was bursting with bones and other tasty treats that the elk left behind. BOL!

I am stalking the bones while Sierra is the lookout in case any humans try to shoo us away before we can get our prize. :)

Success!

But wait, what does Sierra see?

Real, live elk!!!

And there were lots more where that one came from. :)

The hills are alive with the sound of music! ;)

Last night, Gracie's humans came over but she stayed at home. We had a great time. The girls did a little grass kayaking while I ran "hot laps" around them. It was soooo much fun!

ohhh - your pictures are all so beautiful...especially the ones with the wildflowers - I don't think you human needs to go to Camera School at all! She is doing MUCH better than my human...at you can see your faces and not just black or white blurry things!! :-)

I love those kayak pictures. But Ari didn't get that far in her reading: she's too distracted by the idea that a meadow could grow bones and real, live elk!

What a joyous photo essay this is. I can't imagine what our dogs would do if they saw Elk. They'd probably hide behind me.

I'm going to have to have a talk with my mom. We never hike anywhere with bones!
