Photo Fun

Mom and I went out for a walk this morning with our friends, Ozzie and Julie, and Mom enjoyed taking a few photos of us. She had some nice conditions for shooting some silhouettes so she gave it a whirl. We are always so enamored with Sheba's silhouettes that her Mom Esther takes of her in the Niger bush. Go check out their site...it's super cool. Oh, did I mention Sheba is a Ridgeback like me?? No, well, she is and she has puppies too...cute baby Ridgebacks...seven of them. :) Anyway, I know that may look like my tongue BUT it is not. It IS a big, juicy bone that I found! It was wonderful while it lasted...that is, until Ozzie took possession of it, and once he claimed it there was no going near it for me even though I was the one who found it. That's ok, it got Ozzie to chase me, and we had fun!

Next up, Mom took this picture from our walk and added texture to it. She just recently learned how to do this, and is having a bit too much fun with this technique. It doesn't work well for all pictures, but some become so much more interesting with a little texture. We couldn't decide which one of these we liked better though...no texture, texture, or neither. :) What do you think?

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

Like the silhouette pic. It is hard to decide between texture & no texture. The after looks a little more spooky & fog like. Both good though.
Glad you had fun with Sheba.

Hmm, I like them both -- the texture one would look good as a rustic wall hanging I think.

Your mom did a great job on that sihlouette - what a GORGEOUS picture!

I don't know, the texture kind of looks like there is smoke or monsters chasing you.

That is a most grand picture of yourself, though, regardless of the background.

I love the texture one! But when I edit pictures I always keep the original unless it was just minor editing. They both look great.

Hi Nala,

Your mom is so talented with that flashy box, that silhouette photo is wonderful. We're afraid we're going to be a bit wishy-washy on a decision on the other photos - we simply can't decide as they're both so good. The textured one is a bit spookier! Big schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

Both the texture and no texture are beautiful each in their own way. We recently heard about Sheba's blog - awesome photos.

What GREAT pix!!!!
That texturizing is cool! Our mom needs to get back to learning more about PSE; she's been really lax about that lately. Something about "work". "Work"!??! Puh-lease.

Tough call, but I'm a sucker for detail...so untreated. But I can honestly say that I love the effects you employ!

Aw Nala, your silhouette is awesome! We would be so beautiful together against an African sky! Hey, can't your brother Remo come to, and would could have one huge RR get-together? Our humans could take lovely silhouette portraits of us! And then we could invite all our furry friends too, oh my- just imagine!

As for texture, I like it best with, but like you say - every picture has it's own road to go.

Am so glad I found your blog Nala and got to know so many of your awesome friends!
