Mother's Day ~ 2011

I'm SOOOO happy to have my Mom back!  She was gone for 2 and a half weeks visiting family and friends in Ohio & West Virginia...the longest we've ever been apart!  My Dad was gone for a long time too although I did get to see him a little more than Mom.  It's great having my family here with me.  Luckily, Mom made it back just in time for Mother's Day!  Dad and I took her to Leavenworth, WA for the day where she and Dad enjoyed brunch at this crepe restaurant they love although Mom didn't even have the crepes this time...go figure.  You can never predict what a pregnant lady is gonna do! Then, we went for a walk by the river and then we went for another little walk on this mountain biking trail.  Mom was really slow though...again, she blamed it on the pregnancy.  Will there ever be an end to the pregnancy excuses?  ;)  Just teasing Mom! BOL! After that, Mom and Dad got themselves a milkshake, gave me a treat, and we headed home.  It was a beautiful day spent with my family. Hope all you other dog Moms and human Moms had a furtastic Mother's Day too!  Make sure all you canines give your Moms extra kisses and cuddles this week!
A few picture from my Mom's trip....this is her with her Dad, brothers, and step mom.

This is my Mom's friend, Brandy, who had her new baby boy while my Mom was visiting!  His name is Wade and he has a canine sibling too that is already very protective of him. :)

I can't believe Mom had the nerve to put this one MY blog.  Apparently, there were four of these rotten furballs at my Mom's Dad's house.  She thought they were cute, but I beg to differ. ;) I guess I will forgive her since she also decided to post the pictures below.
Her friends got her lots of things for my new baby sister that will be here in less than two months...YIKES....that's not long.  Anyway, among the items she received were some dog themed items like this wonderful book about dogs for my sis....I can't wait to read it with her.

And this adorable onesie that says, "My Puppy Loves Me!" Of course, I will love her!  As you can see Mom was very excited about these gifts, as am I!

What cute little gifties. I bet you missed your mom like crazy! My mom has been pathetic about sending out your b day pressies. First she blamed it on her toopher, then their trip to Hawaii, and now she has no excuses. Hope she gets off her but and sends it to you.

Oh my goodness, Nala - I have to admit, we squealed when we got to that kitten photo! They ARE cute!!! (Although that might also be due to your human's brilliant photography too - Hsin-Yi just can't get over what a beautiful, perfect picture that ia!)

What a nice time for your Mom and her family - even though it was a bit hard on you - but I'll bet everyone is so excited about your little sister's arrival...2 months?!! I can't believe it! Time has gone so fast! Those are such thoughtful gifts too!
