Every New Year, we try to go somewhere. Ever since I joined the family we have gone to the beach because Mom and Dad know how much I like to run in the sand! This year, we went to Seaside, OR for a few days! The past two years we have been lucky with the weather but this year it was pretty crummy...we still had fun though!It was especially fun because my Uncle Joel's girlfriend, (and my new friend) Etsuko, came along and she ran and jumped with me on the beach! I LOVED playing with her...she is so much fun! We had lots of adventures on the beach: we ran, jumped, saw a dead shark and two dead seals (Mom wouldn't let me get close to them though....she's a party pooper!), played hide and seek in the dune grass, and I even met a couple of dogs. There was a beagle that I really wanted to play with but as soon as he saw me he started barking very loudly and his owner took him in the opposite direction. Later, when we were walking down the street the beagle and his owner passed in a little blue car and he was still barking. :) I think he just wanted to play.

This is what happens when I get too close to the water and it threatens to touch my feet....I turn and run away in fear! ;) Even though the water is scary....I LOVE the beach!

Oh Nala, you look so cute all scared of the water!! Looks like a lovely time you had, shame the Beagle was being cheeky, Rosie's like that, she has to bark at everyone and people don't always realise it's all a front!

Nala, you are one sexy beach model... BOL :) Way to work the camera! I have never been to the Ocean beach yet, just the little lake beach we live on. I don't mind running on that sand! :) Not so sure how I would like waves, and sadly there aren't too many ocean beaches that allow dogs in MA. Those Poochy Party Poopers!
