My Pawrents Went on Vacation and DIDN'T Take Me!!

That's right, they went all the way to West Virginia (WV) and didn't even take rude! Oh well, I got to stay with my Nanny which was even better than their little trip! So there pawrents, take that! It was my Dad's first trip there but it is where my Mom grew up! She has lived here in Washington for about 8 years now though. Here are a few pictures from their trip but apparently there will be more later. Mom says this is all she could prepare for tonight. So, they spent one day at New River Gorge. This is one of Mom's favorite spots to go when she visits! There are lots of hiking trails, rock climbing areas, and whitewater rafting. In fact, she used to work for a rafting company during the summers when she was in college. Plus, she says it is just a beautiful place especially when it is all green but they missed the greenery by a couple of weeks.

Mom is pretending that she is a rock climber but she says back in the day she really climbed up that very route in the picture....I don't know if I believe her or not. ;)

Don't fall Dad....but don't worry if you do because Mom is there to capture it all with her camera! BOL!

Can you see the famous bridge back there. It is over 876 feet tall and it is the tallest vehicular bridge in the Americas. Before it was built it took people over an hour to make the trip down through the gorge and across the river to the other side. Speaking of the river did you know that it flows north....not many rivers do that. :)

Oh, this is my cousin Jake who lives in WV. I told Mom that if she is going to be using MY blog for her trip pictures then she has to at least include dog pictures in every post. ;)

Hi Nala,

Too bad that you didn't visit WV because from the pictures, we can tell it's a beautiful place to visit :)

But anyway, glad to hear that you had a good time with your nanny.

Say "hi" to your cousin Jake from us :D

Oh Nala, what a wonderful place to visit! I can't believe your parents went without you!! But I can't really see Nanny climbing away with you, so you would have to chosen between trip or nanny. That would have been too tough! You know, I really can't chose when the flock splits up. That's like all crazy for me. When Anette goes one way and Esther the other, I either run between them and try to make them come together again, or I just sit down in the middle and won't move. In the end, one of them always convinces me to come along (and the other one won't invite me, so it's not as if I have a choice really!) and things will work out alright, but I don't like it! I'm sure you're glad they didn't leave you with the option of having to say "no thank you" to Nanny just to go on the trip, or vice versa...

Warm greetings from Niger,

I don't see why you didn't get to go. I'm sure you would have liked to go hike on those trails. I'm sure your parents used some excuses about taking you on a plane or some of the other nonsense my parents say.
