Walks With Furiends & My Mango Minster Award!

This week, I got to go on lots of walks with my furiends! It was grrrreat! The pictures below are from our walk on Thursday when we went to a local park that has a lake. BRRRR, it was cold and windy even though it may look warm.Picture 1: "Ahhh Julie, why did you throw that stick??? You know I don't want to go into the water!"

Picture 2: "Mom, why did she do it?? Now I have to wait for my furiends because there is NO WAY I am going in there!"

Picture3: "Finally, get out here and play with me boys!"

Picture 4: "Come on, let's get FAR away from the water and play on dry land."

No use, these two just like the water too much so I guess I will just watch from the shore for a bit while they get it out of their systems. Mom said something about them rolling around on a dead fish so their humans wanted them to wash off in the lake. Why would you roll on it when it is a much better idea to just eat it??? I will never understand these silly boys. :)

Here is Ozzie pretending to be a hunky Baywatch lifeguard! BOL!

It's the Loch Ness Monster..ahhhh! ;)

Finally, my furiend, Samson, is quite the model! Isn't his color just beautiful!

Lastly, here are my PAWtastic awards from the Mango Minster! I was soooo excited to get 2nd place! Thanks for the vote Judge Lacie and thanks to Mango for a great competition!

Hi Nala
It looks like you had fun watching your friends play. We think Ozzie is a very hunky lifeguard.

I'm glad you liked your award. It was well deserved. I think that Lacie is a bit jealous of your loveliness.

Samson looks like swamp thing after his trip in the pond! Yowsa! I would hate to ride home with him.

Slobbers,
Mango

Hi Nala!! We totally understand you staying by the water edge, I don't thinks we would have even gone in that far....we hates the water!! Although we probably would have rolled in a bit of dead fish, then eaten the rest! BOL ;)

You be so lucky to have great furiends to go walkies with. And a great lake to play next to (but never in!).

Congrats on the award, you deserved it!! xxxx

I love swimming in lakes except for the part where I have to be dried off with a towel before I can get in the car to go home.

Not a bad way to spend time. I love the black and white shots!

Not a waterbabe then Nala? Not even a paddle? Jana won't swim but she will risk chest deep.

Looks like the other guys had a whale of a time. If that's Nessie then she's a long way from home!

Forgot to say......the paps are also not water lovers.....they walk around puddles.

Nala, I don't blame you for a sec for not wanting to get out in the cold water. Brrrr! Looks like you had a wonderful weekend though... you have some really cool friends.

In regards to the weather in Sweden, yeah it's cold here but if the summer is nice, there is no better place to be than in Sweden. That is, if the summer is nice. ;) Otherwise it sucks. I don't believe it's any colder here than in, let's say, Toronto, Canada. But the fresh, brisk air is, for me, typical for Sweden. I didn't think it would be such a big difference between Sweden and England, but oh boy... it is. The winter coat I had in London, did not work in Sweden at all. :)

Anyhow, enough about the cold weather. I'm excited about Spring. :) Too bad we got lots of snow today though. ;( All the best from Sweden.

Hi Nala!
I have no problems related to you not wanting to risk your life in that water!

Amber! Nala!

Sorry I'm late getting back to ya. Yes, we did auction off the painting, it sold for $100 USD, I am really happy about that!

We used acrylic paint, I don't think it would be harmful to our paws in any way, as long as you have a bath after. That was the only downside to painting - the bath after. Ugh, I hate baths!

It looks like you really did have a GRRRReat day on Thursday at the lake! I wish I could've been there!
